The Global Health eLearning Center is pleased to offer this course on Essential Newborn Care. This course will orient the learner to key technical and programmatic concepts in the provision of care that is essential to all newborns.

This course covers topics such as:
  • Newborn mortality

  • Care during labor and birth

  • Newborn care following birth – immediate and later care

as well as:

  • Infant feeding

  • Household-to-Hospital Continuum

  • Programatic aspects such as indicators, myths, and realities

This course can be taken in conjunction with the campanion course Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care.
