The Global Health eLearning Center is pleased to offer this course on Preventing Postpartum Hemorrhage. It addresses the causes of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), the evidence-based methods of preventing PPH, and covers topics such as:

This course highlights key ways to ensure birth preparedness and complication readiness, and to prevent prolonged labor. It also discusses the need for community advocacy and addresses emerging issues related to preventing PPH (e.g., the use of uterotonic misoprostol by traditional birth attendants).
