The Global Health eLearning Center is pleased to offer this course on Youth Reproductive Health. Learners who take this course will be oriented to key concepts and issues affecting young people's reproductive health, including how to help them avoid unwanted pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). It is especially geared towards those working with, or on behalf of, youth in developing countries. This course covers topics such as:

Adapted in part from Family Health International's (FHI's) Reproductive Health of Young Adults Module, this course pays close attention to the ways gender affects HIV/AIDS risks. It emphasizes HIV/AIDS and other health risks that early marriage poses for young women. The course also underlines the increased risk of maternal mortality, infection, hemorrhage, and fistula that is associated with early pregnancy.
