E-mail Notifications From One Source

No, don’t worry, it’s not more SPAM. It’s a new feature recently added to the ne Source database and you have complete control over it.
Have you ever subscribed to an e-mail list and realized that very little of the content matches your interest? Do you wish that you could make the content specific to your needs? Give the One Source E-mail Notification a try.

Setup your E-mail Notifications:

  1. First, set up an account on One Source. Go to the home page and click on Register in the upper right-hand corner. Complete all the required fields, which are labeled with red text.
  2. After registering, you will be asked to sign-in using your e-mail address and password. Sign in.
  3. Now, click on the INFO Home link at the top of the page.
  4. Do a search on One source here or on the advanced search page.  To go to the advanced search page click on the More Search Options link at the  bottom of the green One Source box on the right-hand side of the home page. The next page you see will be your search results.  Here you can filter your search results using the filters in the left-hand column of the page, or browse through all of the results.  Any filtering done will be added to your query-- saving the search will also save the filters.
  5. On the advanced search page you have the ability to make your search very specific by selecting types of resources or using specific keywords, authors, regions/countries, languages, or time range.  Then, hit the search button to execute the search.
  6. To save your search click on Add E-mail Notification at the top of the search results page.
  7. The E-mail Notification page gives you several choices to configure your notification including, Name of Search, Maximum Items, Frequency, Duration, and Format of E-mail.
  8. Click submit and you are done.  Your search results will be sent to the E-mail address that you supplied.
To make changes to your E-mail Notification go to My Account and click on the E-Mail Notification link.
