Contraception Use Helps Women Plan Women who can decide if and when they will become pregnant are better able to plan other aspects of their lives. In the short term women who use contraception effectively may have more choice about the use of their time because they have fewer children. Women may be better able to make plans to take new educational, economic, and other opportunities (22). Also, in the long term society in general and women themselves may change their expectations of how women lead their lives. Young women probably benefit most from being able to control their own fertility. |
