- June 23, 2008, 8:30 am – 12:00 pm, IYWG Meeting to Learn from the International Conference “Youth Deliver the Future”
Sponsored by the IYWG and the Gates Institute, this half-day meeting will provide time to learn about technical topics presented at the “Youth Deliver the Future” conference in Abuja, Nigeria, in April 2008. Participants will also have a chance to discuss the conference Call to Action for increased investments for young people's health and development. Continental breakfast will be served.

- July 29, 2008, Submission Date for Applications on Gender, Youth, and HIV Risk Research, NIH/NICHD
This funding opportunity is for research on understanding the behaviors and developing strategies to mitigate the exposure to HIV in young people in populations and areas of the world where HIV prevalence is high. Both basic studies and intervention research will be considered.
